Last month we went to Mazatlan, Mexico. One reason we go is to volunteer our time at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship.

In today's economic time with families struggling and may have to cut out some of the luxuries like cable television, cell phones, movies, etc., it is easy to forget the people who truly have nothing.

During our visit we helped prepare sandwiches and water bottles to take to the people of the dump.  These are people who go through all the garbage and waste to find things to recycle to feed their families.  This is what they do 12-14 hours a day, everyday! About the only thing they look forward to is their family, their faith in God and the twice a week visits from those delivering water, sandwiches and an orange. And you know what?  You NEVER hear them complain!

You read about these things and see it on the news but believe me, unless you see it first hand you don't realize what you fellow human beings have to go through just to survive.
